The Problem
Shan was a plot and file consultancy operating in a market with hundreds of identical-looking competitors all running identical-looking ads. The differentiation was real. they had insider knowledge of upcoming releases and historical pricing data. but none of it was visible online. They were getting 60 leads a month, mostly Pakistanis abroad, with a 4% close rate.
The brief was to build something competitors couldn't easily copy: an authority engine, not a discount engine.
The Approach
Plot buyers. especially overseas Pakistanis. make decisions over weeks of WhatsApp conversation. They don't impulse buy. So the funnel had to be built around trust accumulation, not single-touch conversion.
The Founder-as-Authority Play: we put the senior consultant on camera 3x a week explaining market dynamics: "Why DHA Phase 9 prices dipped this month", "When NOC delays signal trouble", "Overseas buyer mistakes". 60-90 second videos, no sales pitch, real data on screen. Within 4 months he had 84K TikTok followers and was being recognised at site visits.
Meta Video Ads: the same content cut into 15-second hooks ran as conversion ads to overseas Pakistani audiences in UK, UAE, KSA, and Canada. The ads pre-sold the consultant before the lead ever messaged.
WhatsApp Funnel: leads went into a structured 7-day nurture: market report PDF on day 1, location video on day 3, Zoom invite on day 5, follow-up call on day 7. Open rates on WhatsApp templates: 94%.
YouTube: long-form 12-18 minute deep dives on each project, optimised for buyers in the research phase. Views were modest but session duration was 9+ minutes, which is the metric that matters for a ₹50L+ purchase.
The Outcome
By month 6, two of Shan's videos had crossed 4M views and the consultant was getting WhatsApp messages from buyers in cities he'd never marketed to. The authority compounding effect. each video added to the trust bank. meant CPL dropped every month even as spend went up. By month 12 the consultancy had three sub-brands targeting different price tiers.
